This is the 3d model for Flight Simulator 9 of the italian built Nardi FN-305 , a
Two Seat Basic Trainer and Liaison built in Italy, first flight in 1935.
Pilot & Student sitting in tandem fully enclosed cockpits with dual controls.
This specific version of the model shows an example built in 1948 using spare parts built in 1942 and was initially registerd in Italian Air Force as MM-52757. The italian Aero Club network used some of them with civilian registration. I-DASM was used by Aero Club of Mantova until 1962 when it was purchased by a private pilot and displayed until 1986 at a gas station near Trento. Acquired by members of GAVS in 1986-1988 the trainer was completely restored by volunteers and is now on display at the Italian Air Force Museum of Vigna di Valle near Rome. (See enclosed picture of the example as is now on display at the museum).

INSTALLATION.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To install this aircraft into fs2004 (Fs9 ACOF) follow this simple procedure:

1) Extract the zip file in a temporary folder , You'll find the "Nardi FN305_CIV" folder and this text file.
2) Copy the folder "Nardi FN305_CIV" to your FS9 "Aircraft" folder,

3) During the installation you may be asked to overwrite some files. This maybe due to you already having some of the files installed. Overwrite or not is to your decision.

4) Double check everything before e-mailing me! the most of problems I am asked to solve are due to not having read readme files!!

GENERAL NOTES.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The FS model, made with FSDS has many moving parts: flaps, ailerons, rudder, elevator, steerable tail wheel, retracting landing gear, rotating wheels , opening left side windows and top windows, sliding lateral perspex windows, front and back seat. It also has a detailed clickable 3D interior with pilot with animated head which seems to explore what happens around him.
Documents folder contains a graphic description of gauges installed in the panel and how work animated parts in the 3d virtual cockpit. It is possible to fly the aircraft just from the 3d V.C.

For flight simmers that prefer there is also a classic 2D panel which replicates the 3D virtual cockpit.
Gauges of italian style period used in the panel are mainly from Manuele Villa and PCmeneg who gave the permission to use their gauges in this model.

Take note that in the real life the Alfa Romeo 115.I engine of Nardi FN 305 was started manually by an handle which cannot be simulated. To start the engine use the magneto switches and standard CTRL+E key. Also take note that as usual for italian aircraft of that period the throttle lever works opposite as usual, max throttle setting is pulling lever backward.

ACKNOLEDGMENT. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------
The realization of this model has been made possible thanks to the help of my friend Manuel Villa who helped with advice and aircraft handbook to the realization of the model. I would also like to thank Commander Giovanni Quai which was invaluable for testing and fine-tuning of the flight characteristics of the model.
